How to Create a Subdomain in Webuzo Hosting: Step-by-Step Guide

If you want to host multiple websites under a single domain name, you’ll need to create subdomains. In this tutorial, we’ll walk you through how to create a subdomain in Webuzo hosting easily, even if you’re a beginner.

Let’s get started without wasting any time!

 What Is a Subdomain?

A subdomain is a part of your main domain that works as a separate section or website.

For example, if your main domain is tutorial.com, you can create subdomains like blog.tutorial.com or pos.tutorial.com.

Each of these subdomains can host a completely different website or application while still being connected to your main domain.

Why Do You Need a Subdomain?

Subdomains are very useful when you want to:

  • Host multiple projects under one domain.
  • Create separate environments for testing or development.
  • Organize your website into different sections (like support.yourdomain.com or shop.yourdomain.com).
  • Save money by avoiding the cost of purchasing multiple new domains.

For example, our main website is amar.host, and we use bd.amar.host as a subdomain for Bangla content.

Difference Between Subdomain and Addon Domain

Many people get confused between subdomains and addon domains, so here’s a simple comparison:

TypeDescriptionExample
SubdomainA separate site created under your existing main domain.blog.tutorial.com
Addon DomainA completely new domain added to your hosting account.tutorial.info

In short, a subdomain is part of your main domain, while an addon domain is an entirely different domain connected to the same hosting account.

In the Domain field, enter the first part of your subdomain — for example, blog.
Your full subdomain will automatically become blog.yourdomain.com.

Step 5: Choose Directory Path

Webuzo will automatically create a directory path for your subdomain. You can keep the default path or change it to your preferred folder.

Step 6: Save Changes

Finally, click Save to create the subdomain.
That’s it!  Your subdomain is now active and ready to use.

Whether you’re building a blog, testing environment, or a separate section of your main website, subdomains make it easy to stay organized.
